Paladin has partnered with Statewide Legal Services of Connecticut (SLS) to the launch of the CT Pro Bono Opportunity Portal. The portal streamlines the volunteer experience for Connecticut-based legal services organizations and attorneys, providing a wider range of pro bono opportunities through an intuitive, easy-to-navigate platform.

Founded in 1995, Statewide Legal Services of Connecticut is the state’s only federally funded legal aid hotline. SLS provides free civil legal assistance to thousands of low-income residents through legal triage, advice, representation, referral, and community outreach. The Pro Bono Unit handles a variety of matters such as security deposits/evictions, divorce, employment, consumer/debt collection, bankruptcy and social security.

The CT Pro Bono Opportunity Portal centralizes pro bono opportunities in a real-time, statewide database that is free for the entire Connecticut legal community. Lawyers, law students, and other legal professionals can quickly find matters aligned with their skills and interests and connect directly with legal services organizations to get started. Users can search by causes, such as “children”, “veterans”, “elderly”, while LSOs can efficiently manage and track volunteer engagement, helping ensure that pro bono resources reach the clients who need them most.

“The launch of Connecticut’s updated pro bono portal represents a major step forward in how we leverage innovation to expand access to justice. Through our partnership with Paladin, we are equipping the legal community with modern tools that make it easier for attorneys to connect with meaningful pro bono opportunities, streamline service delivery, and ultimately reach more people in need. This platform reflects our shared commitment to using technology to strengthen and scale pro bono impact across Connecticut. Together, we are building a more connected, efficient, and impactful pro bono ecosystem.”- Janice Chairetto, Executive Director, Statewide Legal Services

“Statewide Legal Services of Connecticut has an extraordinary team that knows how to bring the pro bono community together. Working closely with them to build and launch the CT Pro Bono Portal has reinforced how their leadership, relationships, and collaborative approach are helping strengthen and expand access to justice across the state,” said Stacy Zinken, Chief Experience Officer at Paladin.

The portal is now live and available to legal professionals and organizations across Connecticut.
